Jessica Kingston, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist who provides comprehensive care to women, including maternity care, well woman care, and treatment for common gynecological issues such as abnormal Pap smears, fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal bleeding or gynecological infections.
She specializes in diagnosing and treating uterine fibroids and has expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She also helps coordinate care for maternal mental health conditions, including mood disorders and postpartum depression.
Dr. Kingston enjoys guiding her patients through life transitions from adolescence through childbearing and into menopause. She believes in a patient-centered approach and her goal is to empower and educate women to improve their reproductive health.
As a professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Kingston instructs medical students, residents and fellows. Specifically, she educates residents in maternal mental health, teaches a preclinical course on endocrine, reproduction and metabolism, and is responsible for coordinating and enhancing resident and medical student education and training in family planning.
Dr. Kingston completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Kingston is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
