About Traci Roberts, MS, RD
Traci Roberts, MS, RD, is a registered dietitian who counsels people on their dietary patterns to improve health and help treat diseases. She specializes in nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy for individuals with chronic illnesses such as cancer. Ms. Roberts is part of the multidisciplinary pancreatic team at Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health, where she has worked as an outpatient dietitian since 2019.
Ms. Roberts takes a patient-centered approach to care by actively listening to each patient's personal values and goals. By meeting each patient where they are, she can form an effective partnership to help them attain better health, strength and quality of life. Additionally, she is actively involved in nutrition-led research investigating the impact of cancer cachexia (weight and muscle loss) on treatment tolerance and quality of life.
She completed her master's degree in nutrition science from San Diego State University, where she also served as a lecturer for two years. Ms. Roberts completed a bachelor of science in biochemistry from the University of Missouri Columbia.
Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, cycling and camping with her family.
