About Yueyang Guo, MD
Yueyang Guo, MD, is a board-certified neuroradiologist whose practice focuses on radiographic, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain, head and neck, and spine with a special interest in imaging of brain tumors, epilepsy, cortical malformations and congenital disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders.
As an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Dr. Guo enjoys instructing medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Guo also manages the department's functional MRI program and provides neuroradiology expertise for the neuro-oncology tumor board and for the interdisciplinary case conference with neurosurgery and neuropathology.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Guo worked in private practice with both diagnostic and procedural experience. He also served as a clinical instructor in neuroradiology at Stanford University.
Dr. Guo completed fellowship training in neuroradiology at Stanford University School of Medicine and residency training in radiology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where he served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology.
He is a member of the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiology, and the San Diego Radiological Society, among others.
In his free time, Dr. Guo enjoys hiking and backpacking, trying new cuisines, and computer and technology.
