About Wendy Hunter, MD, FAAP
Wendy Hunter, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Hunter provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. She loves getting to know families and helping them navigate the stages of their children's lives from newborn to adulthood.
Dr. Hunter completed her residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine and earned her medical degree at University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).
Outside of work, Dr. Hunter enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, playing drums and working at their avocado farm in Fallbrook.
