His research has been published in multiple orthopedic journals and he has been invited to present at local and national conferences. He completed a fellowship in total joint replacement at Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute in Alexandra, Va. He performed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine and earned his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La.

He is excited to be practicing in his hometown of San Diego. Dr. O'Leary attended Torrey Pines High School prior to attending UC Santa Barbara for his undergraduate degree.
