About Alex Crotteau, NP
Alex Crotteau, NP, is a certified nurse practitioner providing primary care through Perlman Clinic, an independent practice with clinic offices throughout San Diego. He is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a family nurse practitioner, Mr. Crotteau takes care of the primary care needs of people of all ages and has experience working in an emergency department. Prior to pursuing his medical career, he worked as a synthetic chemist for a local biotech startup designing and synthesizing bioresorbable polymers for next generation coronary stents.
Mr. Crotteau earned his Master of Science in nursing with a concentration in family practice from United States University and he earned his bachelor's degree in nursing from Rhode Island College. He is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
As a former college athlete, Mr. Crotteau enjoys living an active lifestyle, including golf, baseball and exploring southern California with his wife and two dogs.
