About Ling Jing, DO, MS, MPH
Ling Jing, DO, MS, MPH, is an occupational medicine physician. Her expertise is in restoring and maintaining the health of diverse working populations, including those in healthcare, service, manufacturing, distribution and technology.
Before joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Jing served as a medical officer in the United States Navy where she evaluated service members for medical readiness, provided medical management of active duty personnel for work-related injuries, conducted return to work evaluations, and provided recommendations for reassignment or medical release from service. She also provided primary care services for active duty members, military retirees, military family members and foreign nationals.
Dr. Jing completed her residency in occupational and environmental medicine at UC Irvine. She did an internal medicine internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Jing earned her medical degree from Touro University Nevada in Henderson. She also holds a master's degree in environmental health from UC Irvine and a master's degree in public health from University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
She is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the Western Occupational and Environmental Medicine Association.
Dr. Jing speaks Mandarin fluently.
