Hilary Gould, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides general mental health care to children, adolescents and adults. Her approach to psychotherapy involves utilizing evidenced-based practice including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
She is deeply committed to providing the best care and personalizing treatment for every patient.
As an assistant professor of psychiatry at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Gould supervises child adolescent psychiatry fellows, psychiatry residents, and nurse practitioner trainees in psychotherapy. She is involved in research, contracts, and project development within the community psychiatry program. Dr. Gould has published several articles and book chapters, and presented at local, national, and international conferences and trainings.
She completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at UC San Diego School of Medicine/VA San Diego Healthcare System. Dr. Gould completed a masters and doctoral degree from UCLA as well as a respecialization program at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
In her free time, she enjoys quality time with family and friends, wildlife, houseplants, Pilates, podcasts, hiking and traveling.
