About Holly Salzman, MD

Holly Salzman, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor. She provides primary care for patients of all ages, including preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.

Dr. Salzman says, "I believe in a team approach to health care, with the patient being the most important member of the team. Medicine itself challenges my brain, but the friendships and relationships I develop are what I find most satisfying."

As a professor of family medicine and public health, Dr. Salzman is involved in training medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Salzman completed her residency training at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. She earned her medical degree at UCLA School of Medicine. She is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Salzman enjoys spending time with her family (husband Dan, son Andy and his wife Jessica, and son Peter). She is an avid equestrian, and enjoys riding her horse, Swift, and competing in Western Trail and Horsemanship. She is also committed to improving health care throughout the world, and travels annually to Ethiopia to work on an ongoing project.
