About Joyce Havranek, MD
Joyce Havranek, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who provides comprehensive, high-quality and personalized primary care while promoting health and well-being in her patients. She treats adults through the concierge medicine program at UC San Diego Health. Concierge medicine is a primary care option that requires an annual fee and offers enhanced services, extended amenities and 24/7 access.
Dr. Havranek addresses physical, emotional and social health as part of patient care. As a health advocate, she works closely with specialists to ensure patients receive excellent care for their particular needs.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Havranek practiced internal medicine at Scripps Coastal Medical Center from 2007 to 2021. She was peer-appointed to her medical center's health committees, including the safety committee. Dr. Havranek has repeatedly been recognized as a top doctor in San Diego Magazine's "Physicians of Exceptional Excellence" annual survey.
Dr. Havranek completed her residency training at Scripps Mercy Hospital and her medical degree at Rush University Medical School in Chicago. She worked at UC Los Angeles, UC San Diego, and UC Irvine hospitals throughout her training. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Havranek enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and fitness.
