About Antonios Sideris, MD
Antonios Sideris, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon who treats patients with malignant diseases of the chest, including lung and esophageal cancer, chest wall tumors, mediastinal and thymic tumors. He also specializes in the treatment of benign chest conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia, myasthenia gravis, hyperhidrosis and thoracic outlet syndrome. He uses minimally invasive (thoracoscopic and robotic) techniques to treat these conditions. Dr. Sideris focuses on multidisciplinary approaches to thoracic surgical diseases with the goal of providing the best treatment and improving the life of each individual patient.
Dr. Sideris completed fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and New-York Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY. He completed his general surgery residency training at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, where he received the award for clinical excellence and educational leadership as well as multiple teaching awards. A native of Greece, he earned his medical degree from the University of Athens School of Medicine where he graduated among the top of his class. He is board certified in surgery.
He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. His work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and he has authored several book chapters.
In his free time, Dr. Sideris enjoys spending time with his family, running, skiing and playing tennis. In addition to English, he is fluent in Greek and Spanish.
