About Sheeda Saba, DO
Sheeda Saba, DO, is an internal medicine physician who provides primary care for adults, including management of acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), arthritis, dermatologic conditions, chronic kidney disease, fibromyalgia and depression. She has osteopathic training and is also skilled in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Saba finds creating a trusting and positive relationship with her patients to be the first step in providing excellent care. It is very important that patients consider her a partner in their health and that each treatment plan is a product of shared decision-making. This is accomplished by effective patient education as well as understanding patients' cultural and personal preferences. Dr. Saba is truly passionate about medicine and takes great pride in helping patients become the healthiest version of themselves, both physically and psychologically.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Saba provided ambulatory care, inpatient care and preventive care in the Fresno area. She has experience working with diverse and underserved patient populations, particularly those with language and social barriers. She also has experience providing care for veterans.
Dr. Saba completed her residency in internal medicine at UCSF Fresno in Fresno, Calif. She earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Lebanon, Ore. Dr. Saba is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Saba enjoys cooking and finds outdoor activities a great way to unwind. She speaks Farsi fluently.
