About Florencia Lebensohn-Chialvo, PhD
Florencia Lebensohn-Chialvo, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with Integrated Behavioral Health at UC San Diego Health, where she collaborates with primary care physicians to deliver integrated, whole-person care. She specializes in working with youth and families. Her expertise is in pediatric integrated care, addressing typical behavioral health issues (e.g., anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors) and parent-child or familial conflict, as well as supporting physicians in addressing relevant health behaviors and adjustment to illness.
Dr. Lebensohn-Chialvo is an associate professor in UC San Diego's Department of Family Medicine and Public Health. Her research seeks to identify effective training strategies for behavioral health clinicians in evidence-based practices, with a particular emphasis on those working in integrated care settings and with underserved and linguistically diverse communities.
She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona and completed her predoctoral internship in clinical child psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Lebensohn-Chialvo is a native of Argentina and provides Spanish-language services.
