About Eyla Boies, MD
Eyla Boies, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who provides primary care for infants, children and adolescents through all of their developmental stages. Her expertise includes providing lactation consultation, assisting mothers who are experiencing difficulties breastfeeding their newborns.
Dr. Boies was drawn to medicine at an early age by its blend of science and caring for people. What she likes most is helping children stay healthy, and teaching them and their parents more about taking care of themselves.
As a professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Boies instructs medical students, residents and fellows. Her research interests include pediatric infectious diseases and premature infant nutrition.
She completed her fellowship and residency training at Children's Hospital in St. Louis. She earned her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and watching her children grow.
