About Minette Pineda, MSN, RN, AGPCNP
Minette Pineda, MSN, is a nurse practitioner who serves as a designated expert for assessing more complex vascular and interventional radiology cases. She performs difficult procedures that require advanced skills and knowledge including peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line placement, vascular access placement, removal of gastrostomy and gastrojejunostomy tubes and T-fasteners, paracentesis and thoracentesis. In the outpatient vascular and interventional radiology clinic setting, she manages new patient consultations and clinical follow-up visits.
Minette has over 17 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, she worked in San Diego as an interventional radiology nurse practitioner with Scripps Clinic Medical Group and as a cardiovascular intensive care unit nurse at Scripps Memorial Hospital. She also worked as nurse in an interventional radiology outpatient clinic with Fresenius Vascular Care. In addition to being a California board registered nurse, she is a certified nurse practitioner in adult-gerontology primary care.
Minette completed her master's in nursing degree from San Diego State University and she obtained her undergraduate nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University.
In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, cooking, fashion and home improvement.
