Heather L. Hofflich, DO

Heather L. Hofflich, DO, is a board-certified endocrinologist and internist. She provides endocrinology and primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.

Dr. Hofflich has a special interest in osteoporosis, thyroid and women's health issues. She enjoys being able to provide excellent care to her patients and establish long-lasting relationships.

Dr. Hofflich is consistently named a "Top Doc" in San Diego Magazine's "Physicians of Exceptional Excellence" annual survey performed in collaboration with the San Diego County Medical Society.

As a professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Hofflich is involved in training medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Hofflich is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, a distinction that recognizes her outstanding achievements in endocrinology. She is also a certified clinical densitometrist, which is a professional certification in the field of bone density.

Dr. Hofflich completed her fellowship training at UC Irvine College of Medicine and her residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center. She completed her internship at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Hofflich earned her medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and her undergraduate degree at Cornell University. She is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, and enjoys hiking, biking, running and swimming.
