About Amanda A. Gosman, MD
Amanda A. Gosman, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cleft lip and palate surgery, pediatric and adult craniofacial surgery, microsurgical facial reanimation, gender-affirming surgery and aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Gosman is the director of Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at UC San Diego Health and Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego. She is also director of the Fresh Start Clinic for Craniofacial Anomalies at Rady Children's Hospital – San Diego, where she performs reconstructive surgeries for children at no cost.
At UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Gosman is professor and chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery, where she also directs the Plastic Surgery Residency Program and the Craniofacial Fellowship Program. Her research focuses on craniofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, plastic surgery outcomes, quality of life and international health.
Dr. Gosman completed her fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery and her residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern. She also received training in international plastic surgery with ReSurge International (formerly Interplast) earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University.
