About Rupal Parikh, MD

Rupal Parikh, MD, is an interventional radiologist whose practice area includes superficial and deep venous disease and traumatic and non-traumatic lymphatic disease. She also has expertise in women's health and interventions including symptomatic uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, pelvic congestion and infertility.

Dr. Parikh enjoys seeing patients through the full course of their care. She also enjoys helping patients with acute and chronic illnesses by performing minimally invasive procedures in which they leave interventional radiology with little more than a small bandage.

As an assistant professor of radiology, Dr. Parikh is involved in the education and training of medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

She completed residency training in interventional radiology at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she served as chief resident. Dr. Parikh earned her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, N.J. She is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.

In her free time, Dr. Parikh enjoys hiking, biking, traveling, photography and home improvement. She speaks Gujarati fluently.
