About Natalie Voskanian Davis, MD
Natalie Voskanian, MD, is a board-certified sports medicine physician with expertise in the nonsurgical treatment of sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, including sprains, ligament injuries, tendonitis and overuse injuries such as runner's knee and Iliotibial band (ITB) syndrome. She specializes in returning athletes and patients back to their sports and activities after an injury. She has experience taking care of athletes at all levels, including professional and Olympic levels as well as collegiate, high school, and recreational.
Dr. Voskanian is a team physician for the San Diego Sea Lions women's professional soccer team. She has also provided medical support for Team USA BMX, BMX World Cup Championships, World Ice Skating Championships, the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, the Mt. SAC Track and Field Relays, and Oceanside Ironman. She is the former medical director of the San Diego TriRock Triathlon and a former team physician for the El Segundo High School football teams.
As a professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Voskanian trains students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She has also written educational articles and presented at national conferences.
Dr. Voskanian completed her fellowship training in primary care sports medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she was team physician for many sports teams, including Division I NCAA football. She completed residency training in internal medicine at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego and earned her medical degree from UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Voskanian is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. She is board certified in sports medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, jet skiing and paddle boarding, and playing tennis, basketball and volleyball.
