About Jessica J. Chen, MD
Jessica Chen, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor. She provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
Dr. Chen believes medicine is a healing art and that the healing process builds on mutual respect and trust between physician and patient. She feels that without the human connection, medical advancement would lose its ultimate goal - healing of the human being.
As a clinical professor of medicine, Dr. Chen is involved in training medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Chen completed her residency training at University of Southern California Los Angeles County Hospital and earned her medical degree at State University of New York Brooklyn School of Medicine. She is board-certified in internal medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Chen enjoys traveling, globetrotting, movies, in-line skating, hiking, volleyball and reading.
