About Gordon Yung, MD
Gordon Yung, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist who is medical director of lung transplantation. He also specializes in advanced lung disease, including interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension and COPD.
His clinical and research interests include evaluation and management of lung transplantation and end-stage COPD/emphysema, evaluation and management of pulmonary hypertension, and new treatments for pulmonary fibrosis.
As a professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Yung trains medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
He completed a fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine and his residency at New York Downtown Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong. He is board certified in critical care medicine and pulmonary disease.
Dr. Yung speaks Cantonese fluently.
