About Brian Snyder, MD
Brian Snyder, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician. He provides care to patients of all ages and backgrounds at UC San Diego Health's Emergency Department in La Jolla and at urgent care Rancho Bernardo.
As a professor of emergency medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine, he is actively involved in medical student education. Dr. Snyder's interests include the effect of hyperbaric oxygen on pathologic inflammation and reperfusion injury, respiratory diseases and empirical/evidence based ethics.
Dr. Snyder was the inaugural fellow in undersea and hyperbaric medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in emergency medicine. He earned his medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.
He is board certified in emergency medicine and undersea and hyperbaric medicine.
