About John P. Einck, MD
John Einck, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in treating prostate and other genitourinary cancers, as well as breast and gynecologic cancer. He is co-chair of the radiation oncology team's brachytherapy program.
Dr. Einck's treatment philosophy emphasizes patient education and a team-based approach to care that encourages patients to participate in deciding what course of treatment is best for them.
Dr. Einck is a professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences at UC San Diego School of Medicine, active in research and clinical trials related to radiation oncology. He is especially interested in developing and modifying brachytherapy techniques to improve outcomes for patients with prostate cancer.
Dr. Einck completed residency training at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis.
