Lawrence A. Hansen, MD, is a board-certified neuropathologist who works with neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists on brain tumor diagnosis and treatment.
As a professor in the Department of Pathology and the Department of Neurosciences, he is involved in the training and education of medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
He completed fellowship training in geriatric neuropathology and dementia at UC San Diego School of Medicine as well as an additional surgical pathology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich. Dr. Hansen completed residency training in neuropathology at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill.
He is board certified in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology and neuropathology.
