About Sharon Sternfeld, MD, FAAP

Sharon Sternfeld, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Sternfeld provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. Her father, a pediatrician of 40 years, inspired her love of education, children and books. Dr. Sternfeld strives to connect with every patient and parent to provide comprehensive care.

Dr. Sternfeld completed her residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine and earned her medical degree at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).

Outside of work, Dr. Sternfeld loves spending time with her husband, son, daughter and dachshund. They keep her busy enjoying the outdoors and life's adventures. Her passion is literacy and she is active in Reach Out and Read, which provides free books onsite and throughout the county. She also chairs the annual American Academy of Pediatrics School Health Conference.
