About Gregory D. Middleton, MD
Gregory D. Middleton, MD, is a board-certified rheumatologist who specializes in the nonsurgical care of patients with joint and muscle pain, particularly those with rheumatic disorders such as osteoarthritis. He takes a comprehensive approach to treating arthritis, pain and autoimmune diseases, and strives to help patients maintain a satisfying and active lifestyle.
Dr. Middleton treats many former and recreational athletes who strive to maintain an active lifestyle in spite of muscle and joint challenges. He believes that his clinical wisdom, patience and honesty allow him to make a difference in the lives of his patients.
Prior to joining the team at UC San Diego Health, Dr. Middleton was chief of medical specialties at Southwest Medical Associates in Las Vegas.
Dr. Middleton completed fellowship and residency training at University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He is board certified in rheumatology.
Outside of work, Dr. Middleton enjoys staying active by walking and practicing yoga.
