About Nhan Vuong, MD

Nhan Vuong, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients, performing diagnostic admissions and treating a variety of acute medical conditions such as acute renal failure and diabetic complications. As a hospitalist, Dr. Vuong is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. Upon a patient's hospital discharge, Dr. Vuong communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality transition of care.

As an academic hospitalist, he serves as an assistant professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Vuong completed his training in internal medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine as well as a chief residency in internal medicine at UC Riverside School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
