Andrew Hannawi, MD, is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder and neurodevelopmental disabilities. He sees patients with Asperger syndrome, developmental disabilities including tuberous sclerosis, Rett syndrome, tic disorders, learning or intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, childhood traumatic brain injury, and other related genetic or metabolic disorders.
As an assistant professor in the Department of Neurosciences, he trains medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Hannawi completed his fellowship in neurodevelopmental disabilities and residency in neurology at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is board certified in neurology.
He speaks Arabic in addition to English.
