Kevin Brumund, MD, is a board-certified head and neck surgeon whose practice is dedicated solely to the treatment of head and neck tumors. Dr. Brumund has extensive training and experience in cancer surgery and specializes in treating both benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck. This includes tumors of the entire upper aerodigestive tract (mouth, throat, nose, sinuses, and voice box), salivary glands (parotid and submandibular glands), neck, facial skin, thyroid and parathyroid glands.
A major focus of his surgical practice is thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Dr. Brumund's expertise includes minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Minimally invasive thyroidectomy is a new approach to thyroid surgery that can provide equally safe and effective results with a smaller incision and shorter recovery time.

Dr. Brumund completed fellowship training in head and neck oncologic surgery, skull base surgery and microvascular reconstructive surgery at UC Davis School of Medicine. He did a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine).
