About Cynthia Miracle, MD

Cynthia M. Miracle, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist who cares for chronic hemodialysis and renal transplant patients. She also provides nephrology consultation for patients who are hospitalized.

As the renal clinic director at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, she treats veterans with chronic kidney disease and hypertension. She has been awarded the Employee Excellence Award for Patient Care (Karis Award).

As an assistant professor in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Miracle conducts clinical research on hypertension and chronic kidney disease.

Dr. Miracle completed a fellowship in nephrology-hypertension at UC San Diego School of Medicine and her residency in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. She earned her medical degree from New York Medical College. She is board certified in nephrology.
