About Geneen T. Gin, DO

Geneen T. Gin, DO, is a board-certified family medicine doctor. She provides primary care for patients of all ages, including prenatal care, newborn care and acute hospital care.

Dr. Gin is one of our family medicine hospitalists. She cares for adults, newborns, pregnant and postpartum patients at UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest.

Dr. Gin also provides comprehensive women's health care, including contraceptive management (including IUD and Nexplanon management), preconception counseling, management of cervical dysplasia/abnormal pap smear and obstetrics. She maintains an active obstetrics practice including cesarean sections.

As an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Gin is involved in training medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Gin completed her residency at University of California San Diego. She completed her fellowship at Swedish Medical Center. She earned her medical degree at Touro University. She is board-certified in family medicine.
