About Elaine Do, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Elaine Do, NP, is a nurse practitioner who works with the college mental health program and provides care for transitional age youth (TAY), including treatment for mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
She believes there is no "one size fits all" treatment as each person's struggles present differently depending on their unique experiences. Her goal is to meet patients where they are at and work collaboratively with them to determine the best individualized treatment plan. She finds it rewarding to be a pillar of support for patients during their time of vulnerability.
Elaine completed a nurse practitioner fellowship at UC San Diego's Child and Adolescent Fellowship Program where she served patients in multiple sites in different settings, including UC San Diego's Eating Disorder Clinic, Rady Children's Behavioral Health Urgent Care, Rady Children's Psychiatry Emergency Department, and San Diego Family Care. She completed a master's degree in nursing from at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and bachelor's degrees in integrative biology and psychology at UC Berkeley. Elaine is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner.
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the California Association for Nurse Practitioners and the Asian American/Pacific Islander Nurses Association.
In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, spending time with friends and family, traveling and exploring new places, trying new restaurants/cafes/boba shops, and watching Korean dramas and anime.
