About Janice Park, MD
Janice Park, MD, is board-certified nephrologist and internal medicine physician. She is part of the apheresis program, one of the largest in the United States, at UC San Diego Health. Apheresis is a medical procedure that involves passing a person's blood through a device that separates out a component of the blood from its other parts and returns the remainder of the blood into circulation.
Dr. Park is also a hospitalist physician and assigned to patients at the time of admission, and provides care only during their hospital stay.
As an assistant professor in UC San Diego School of Medicine's Department of Medicine, she is involved in training medical students, residents and fellows in the in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension as well as the Division of Hospital Medicine.
Dr. Park completed a fellowship in nephrology from UC San Diego School of Medicine and a residency in internal medicine from UC Davis School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.
