Aarya Kafi, MD, is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician who specializes in lung transplantation and interstitial lung disease. He also provides inpatient care in the intensive care unit at Jacobs Medical Center. Dr. Kafi has extensive expertise in treating various interstitial lung diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, autoimmune related interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis and hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
Dr. Kafi's goal is to provide cutting-edge care and service to all of his patients. His focus is on dispensing clinical information in an easily understood and effective manner. Being in a hospital can be intimidating and even daunting, but he strives to create a comfortable environment for all of his patients.
Dr. Kafi completed his fellowship in critical care medicine and his residency in internal medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Kafi is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. He is a member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and the American Thoracic Society.
