John Garbrecht, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS

J.D. Garbrecht is licensed physical therapist who specializes in orthopedic and sports physical therapy with a strong background in human performance. His clinical interests are in manual therapy, sports performance, and integrative medical techniques within the scope of physical therapy.

J.D. retired after 35 years of service in the Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy. As a U.S. Navy physical therapist, he worked in community and teaching hospitals and various assignments while deployed overseas.

He completed an MBA from Boston University, a transitional doctor of physical therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions as well as a master's degree in applied exercise science from Concordia University-Chicago. He received his bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Wisconsin in 1997.

J.D. is a board-certified specialist in both orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (Sports, Orthopedics, and Hand), American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

He holds multiple fitness certifications and is ASTYM, Graston, Functional Movement Systems and Selected Functional Movement Assessment certified as well as being a credentialed clinical instructor.
