About William Pelham, PhD

William Pelham, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with 10 years of experience working with children, teens and families. Dr. Pelham specializes in helping children who struggle with impulsivity, following rules, and controlling their emotions.

He delivers group and individual therapy to children and to parents, working to address difficulties at both home and school.

Dr. Pelham is an assistant professor of psychiatry in the UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he leads a research team focused on child and adolescent psychology.

Dr. Pelham completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., and previously trained at Phoenix Children's Hospital and Seattle Children's Hospital.
