About Eleni Capetanakis, MD, FAAP
Eleni Capetanakis, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Capetanakis provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. Her approach to care is family-centered with her patients and she especially enjoys taking care of adolescents. She takes pride in watching her patients grow and fulfill their potential.
Dr. Capetanakis completed her residency at Creighton University St. Joseph's Hospital and earned her medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Dr. Capetanakis is fluent in Greek and Spanish.
A native of Chula Vista, Dr. Capetanakis has truly enjoyed returning to her hometown to practice as a pediatrician. In her free time, she loves surfing, gardening and watching her daughters play soccer.
