Monica Tincopa, MD, MS, is a board-certified physician who practices general and transplant hepatology including the care of cirrhosis, evaluation for liver transplant, post-liver transplant care, viral hepatitis, autoimmune and genetic liver conditions, alcohol-related liver disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (advanced NAFLD).
She enjoys working collaboratively with patients and their families to create an optimal plan of care. She is honored to have the opportunity to work with patients through challenging medical issues and to assist in evaluation for liver transplant.
Dr. Tincopa completed fellowships in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. She completed an internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore where she also earned her medical degree. Dr. Tincopa also obtained a master's degree in clinical research from University of Michigan.
She is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), the American Society of Transplantation (AST), the American Gastroenterological Society (AGA) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
In her free time, Dr. Tincopa enjoys traveling to new places and fitness activities including running, hiking, surfing and climbing.
