Jessica Salas, DNP, FNP-C

Jessica Salas, NP, is a certified family nurse practitioner at UC San Diego Health's Express Care. She provides high-quality care to patients of all ages with simple injuries and minor illnesses including respiratory infections, urinary infections, sexually transmitted infections, musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains and strains, and minor procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage. She also practices preventive medicine and offers wellness services to manage acute and chronic illnesses.

Salas enjoys being an essential resource when patients can't see their regular physicians and need medical care. She finds it extremely rewarding to help patients during their time of need.

Prior to joining Express Care at UC San Diego Health, she was a nurse practitioner in urgent care and emergency care settings.

Salas earned her doctor of nursing practice degree from University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science. She completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from San Diego State University. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and traveling to new places. She speaks Spanish fluently.
