About Mina Wasson, MD, FAAP
Mina Wasson, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Wasson provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. She feels fortunate to work with children who bring light and joy to the people around them. Dr. Wasson enjoys the day-to-day meetings with parents and children. Her favorite part of pediatrics is being able to see the honest lives of families because all are so different, but unified by the love for their children and willingness to do whatever it takes to keep them happy, safe and healthy.
Dr. Wasson completed her residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and earned her medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Dr. Wasson is fluent in Korean.
Outside of work, Dr. Wasson enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. They like family time outdoors and are looking forward to experiencing life and weather in San Diego after moving from Chicago.
