Jessica Momberg, MSN, CNM

Jessica Momberg, MSN, is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) who provides family-centered maternity care, along with well-woman care, family planning and other services. She delivers babies in our holistic, in-hospital birth center or in the traditional labor and delivery environment, depending on the desires and needs of her patients.

Jessica finds it rewarding to develop relationships with pregnant people, their loved ones and her colleagues. She believes strongly in evidence-based care and brings affection and enthusiasm into her encounters. She strives to connect personally with her patients and their support people, celebrate their victories and support any setbacks. She is community focused with her colleagues and patients alike.

Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Jessica practiced midwifery at TrueCare in Oceanside, Calif. and Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. She has volunteered with various midwife organizations and for medical missions and health programs in rural Guatemala including the Peace Corps.

She earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree in nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing. She also completed a bachelor's degree in political science from UC San Diego. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.

Jessica's personal interests include stand up paddle boarding, surfing, traveling, hiking and cooking. She loves spending time in the outdoors. She speaks Spanish in addition to English.
