About Karrie Driscoll, MSN, ANP-BC
Karrie Driscoll, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive care in colon and rectal surgery. She sees patients with new benign anorectal disorders, including hemorrhoids, anal fissures and perianal abscesses, as well as post-operative colorectal surgical patients for both benign and malignant diagnoses.
Before joining UC San Diego Health in 2014, Ms. Driscoll provided obstetric and gynecologic care as a nurse practitioner clinician for Planned Parenthood and worked as a registered nurse in various medical settings, including decision observation unit (DOU), coronary care, recovery care and general medical. She became a nurse and nurse practitioner for the sole purpose of helping people live longer and healthier lives.
Ms. Driscoll earned her master's degree in nursing practice specializing in adult health and her bachelor's degree in nursing at University of Illinois at Chicago. She also earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Seattle University. Ms. Driscoll is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the California Nurses Association.
Outside of work, Ms. Driscoll enjoys taking advantage of the beautiful weather San Diego has to offer and can be found hiking, paddle boarding, jogging or biking.
