Shabnam Zargar, MD, FAAP

Shabnam Zargar, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Zargar provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. She wanted to be a pediatrician since fifth grade and always enjoyed being around children. Dr. Zargar likes that children are so honest, intelligent and inquisitive. She loves conversing with children and having fun with them. Children make her happy and allow her to see the good in the world. She never ceases to be amazed at things kids say or do.

Dr. Zargar completed her residency at University of Nevada School of Medicine and earned her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).

Outside of work, Dr. Zargar enjoys spending time with her family. They like hiking, cooking, exploring new places and restaurants, traveling and spending time with their loved ones.
