About Jenna Klubnick, MD, MS

Jenna Klubnick, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Klubnick is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. She does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments. Upon a patient's hospital discharge, Dr. Klubnick communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality care.

Her specific interests within medicine are in medical communication and medical education. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their loved ones, and she is continuously grateful for the opportunity to help her patients make the health care decisions that best align with their goals for their life and their health.

Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, she cared for patients as a hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and involved in the education and training of medical students and residents as an instructor at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Klubnick completed residency training in internal medicine at Beth Israel Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she served as chief medical resident. She earned her medical degree from Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She also has a master's degree in chemistry from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
