About Julia Cain, MSN, ANP-BC

Julia Cain, MSN is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner (ANP-BC) who specializes in providing palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses. Palliative medicine focuses on improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses and their families.

As part of the palliative care team, Julia helps develop a plan of care for pain and symptom management, as well as strategies to relieve physical or emotional stress. She serves as an educator and resource to patients and their families, and provides a high level of compassion and comfort.

Julia earned her master's degree in nursing from University of San Diego and obtained a bachelor's degree in biological sciences at University of California, Santa Barbara. She is an advanced certified hospice and palliative nurse and a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurse Association.

Outside of work she spends time with her husband and two kids. They love road trips and going to Padres games. She also enjoys practicing yoga, running and cooking.
