About Lawrence Malak, MD
Lawrence Malak, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who practices inpatient and outpatient care at UC San Diego Health. He approaches patient care from a shared decision-making perspective. He is director of the community psychiatry track, co-director of the combined family medicine and psychiatry residency program, and associate program director of the general psychiatry residency in the Department of Psychiatry.
Dr. Malak completed his residency in psychiatry at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is board certified in psychiatry.
He is a member of several professional societies including the American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, American Association of Community Psychiatry and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training.
