About Melissa Kramer, MD, FAAP
Melissa Kramer, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Kramer provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. She always knew she wanted to be a physician and work with children. During her pediatrics rotation in medical school, she realized nothing could make her happier than being a pediatrician. Dr. Kramer loves working with families and building relationships with them to better understand and care for their children.
Dr. Kramer completed her residency at UC Davis School of Medicine and earned her medical degree at SUNY Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).
In her free time, Dr. Kramer likes doing CrossFit, hiking, traveling, cooking and exploring new cities. She enjoys lifting weights and being active and encourages others to try the same. Dr. Kramer is a pescatarian and loves eating fruits and vegetables. She was born and raised in San Diego and could not be happier being back after eight years away.
