
About Adrià Jiménez Bacardí, MD, MS
Adrià Jiménez Bacardí, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Jiménez Bacardí is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. He does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments. Upon a patient's hospital discharge, Dr. Jiménez Bacardí communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality care.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, he practiced hospital medicine in San Francisco and was involved in training medical students and residents as an assistant professor at UC San Francisco School of Medicine.
Dr. Jiménez Bacardí completed residency training in internal medicine, pediatrics and global health at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami where he served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He also has a master's degree in forensic science from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Jiménez Bacardí is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
