About Anita Pinto, MD, FAAP

Anita Pinto, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Pinto provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. Her love for babies and children drew Dr. Pinto to pediatrics. Her guiding philosophy is to treat others how you would like to be treated. Dr. Pinto believes in involving her patients, including their families and primary caretakers, in the decision-making process. She takes a holistic approach to medicine and has a special interest in asthma and allergies.

Dr. Pinto completed her residency at University of Illinois College of Medicine and earned her medical degree at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in India. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Dr. Pinto is fluent in Hindi.

In her free time, Dr. Pinto enjoys taking care of her family, gardening and cooking.
