About Eric G. Mendez, MD

Eric G. Mendez, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor who provides primary care for adults, including preventive care. He has expertise in managing chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. He has a particular interest in cardiovascular disease prevention and providing care for underserved populations. Dr. Mendez also has expertise in providing gender-affirming care to transgender and nonbinary patients. His research interests include cardiovascular prevention and underserved medicine.

Dr. Mendez completed his residency in internal medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles. He earned his medical degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Mendez also speaks Spanish fluently.

In his free time, Dr. Mendez enjoys cooking, running, beach volleyball, gardening, watercolor painting and travel.
